Here is short guide on how to jailbreak iOS 8.1 with Pangu on Mac. So those who were waiting for jailbreaking compatibility with their operating system can now use it to jailbreak your iDevice.
This guide was written for every iOS device that run iOS 8.0 through iOS 8.1 so just follow these steps to jailbreak your own device. Last time we showed you how to jailbreak iOS 8.1 on Windows using updated Pangu. Now finally we cn do it on Mac.
- Make sure that your device is running iOS 8.1.
- Take a backup before proceeding.
- Make sure Find My iPhone and Passcode lock are disabled before the jailbreak process.
- Download and install iTunes 12.0.1 or newer.
The Instruction To Jailbreak iOS 8.1 On Mac Using Pangu Tool
Step 1: Download the last version of Pangu for Mac.
Step 2: Double click on the DMG file to extract the Pangu8 app. The save it to your desktop.
Step 3: Right click on the Pangu8 app. Then choose Open.
Step 4: Connect your iDevice with your Mac using the USB cable.
Step 5: Click on the Pangu app and open the contextual menu.
Step 6: From the menu that appears please click Open.
Step 7: When warned that Pangu8 is from an unidentified developer click Open.
Step 8: The software will detect your device. Then to begin the jailbreaking process click the large Start Jailbreak button.
Step 9: You will be ask to confirm that your device was backed up. And also that device is in Airplane Mode. Then to continue click on button called Already Did.
Step 10: Now the Pangu app will start the jailbreaking process.
Step 11: When the jailbreaking will be completed your device will reboot. The Pangu app together with Cydia app will appear on your Springboard.
